Post-op Polka Dots

Betcha didn't expect to hear from me this soon.  Ha!

Luckily for me, my oral surgery went very smoothly...in fact, I was up and about by noon today!  And, though I'm a bit painful, I have virtually no swelling.  I am so thankful to not have the chipmunk cheeks and nausea that so many people experience.  I was even able to go out shopping today!
Here I am in the dressing room at Urban Outfitters.  See?  No swelling!  Lucky me!  But, I also wanted to mention how much I love the dressing rooms at this Urban (located at the Keystone Fashion Mall in Indianapolis).  The floors are great and I'm pretty much convinced that I need a dressing room mirror someday.  I just love the size!  I also...may have...bought the dress hanging on the wall.  I can't wait to show it off, but it'll be awhile since they had to order it in a smaller size for me.
This beautiful arrangement was given to me as a get well present by my very talented aunt.
My dinner.  I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed Spaghettios.  As it turns out, they're perfect for a nice hot post oral surgery meal.  Also, a pretzel roll (which I managed to eat in very small bites) and a small pharmacy worth of medication.

My life since February

Rather than writing paragraphs about what I've been doing since February, I thought I'd share photos instead.  It seems to me that this is by far more stimulating.  Enjoy!

My antlers are finally done.
Amelia Earhart gets a makeover.
Meet Rodney.
Rodney dies.
A lovely feature in Charlene Choi's fashion blog HERE
Meret Oppenheim...I wrote 15 pages about her.
Rodney honored.
Car vandalised...
...the day before graduation.
Meet Albert and his skin.
Donuts at the beech on Tybee Island.
Ralph Lauren for $20 courtesy an estate sale.
Gertie.
Karla Deras for Roman Luxe.  I love this ring.
My lovely new employer.  :)
I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow morning due to an infection in one of them.

And so, my life for the last four months.  Once I am healed from my surgery (and alert and maybe not so puffy), I'll write some more.  I have a new swimsuit that I am excited to share as well as (possibly) some DIYs.

Falling Behind

I really cannot seem to keep up with this thing.  But, good news!  My jewelry can now be found in three boutiques in Savannah, Georgia.

At Civvies:
At Red Clover:

At Arc:

I am also working on lines for Red Clover and Arc.  Red Clover will carry my twig jewelry...so not just rings but also necklaces and possibly more.  The line for Arc I am still working on.

See you in another three months!

Missoni for Target

This is several months late, but I'll share anyway.  So remember when Missoni for Target came out and people went crazy?  Well, luckily I live in Indiana, so there were still some things left when I went a day after.

This is what I got:
This is how I wore...some of it:

Here soon I'll try to update with the pictures from my summer...long delayed.  Also, some of the jewelry that has been keeping me so busy.  So long!

Pointy Toes

Finally, a clothing related post.  I am bound and determined to do this, dammit.
So, I'm going through a bit of a wadrobe crisis.  That is, I'm unsatisfied with my cold weather staples, having owned all of them for well over a year.  Boredom is hard on a closet.  Sadly, poor college student is poor, so I'm working really hard to rediscover things that I haven't worn in a while.  This boots for example.  Scored from a second hand shop.  The only problem with them?

Schwetty feet.

Introduction

Sorry for the long delay between posts...to all none of you who read this.  I'm still waffling about whether or not I want to do this.  I suppose just casual posting is best for now.

Also, I don't quite know what I will write about.  The things that interest seem to be the best place to start, so you can expect a variety of things.  Fashion, ceramics, metals/jewelry, insects, taxidermy and so on.  I would love to share my style sense with you, but it's difficult without a photographer.  I tried the whole awkwardly take my own pictures thing and just wasn't into it.  We'll see.

For now I guess I'm just writing into empty space.  TTFN interwebs.
