Tribal Dress and White Ginger Scent

I am healing pretty quickly and looking forward to a great week.  However, I'm still waking up with that horrible blood taste in my mouth.  Blech.

The weather is beautiful today, warm without being hot and a great breeze.  So, I donned a maxi dress, pleased to picture it blowing gracefully in the wind...until it wrapped around my legs and nearly tripped me.
God, I love me some Instagram.  Those filters work wonders.  Sucks for actual photographers though.  Anyway, I scored this dress at Forever 21 last first ever maxi dress.  The color and print make me so happy.  Those shoes I found during my post-op shopping spree on Saturday.  My dad would shutter to think that I can still shop on a plethora of pain medication.  Ha ha
This perfume smells awesome.  It's so fresh and summery.  And my poor sad sand dollar.  I am beginning to like its exploded look though.  This may turn into some sort of wall art.  Speaking of wall art...

I just finally managed to find this artist's work online.  Shephen Eichhorn had his work on display at the Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries at Purdue back in January or February.  His collages are so gorgeous, each little delicate piece cut out and glued separately.  I REALLY want one to hang on my wall, but, alas, as with most great art, his pieces are expensive.  If I want one, I'll have to buy a print...if I can find one.  That and I think I'll make some collages of my own.  Mister Eichhorn has inspired me.  What kind of things do you like to hang on your walls?

My Mouth Hurts

I woke up at 7 this morning in so much pain that I wanted to cry.  This calls for comfort clothes and comfort food.
I went with a Forever 21 chambrey button down, a Madewell neon sweater, and Urban Outfitters shorts (because it is 90 degrees outsider afterall).  And, of course, mukluks.  I love mukluks.  I also want to introduce you to Birdo the Bird...
...his head zips off.  Pretty stellar if I do say so myself.
Now to eat some tomato soup, grilled cheese, and medication!

Post-op Polka Dots

Betcha didn't expect to hear from me this soon.  Ha!

Luckily for me, my oral surgery went very fact, I was up and about by noon today!  And, though I'm a bit painful, I have virtually no swelling.  I am so thankful to not have the chipmunk cheeks and nausea that so many people experience.  I was even able to go out shopping today!
Here I am in the dressing room at Urban Outfitters.  See?  No swelling!  Lucky me!  But, I also wanted to mention how much I love the dressing rooms at this Urban (located at the Keystone Fashion Mall in Indianapolis).  The floors are great and I'm pretty much convinced that I need a dressing room mirror someday.  I just love the size!  I also...may have...bought the dress hanging on the wall.  I can't wait to show it off, but it'll be awhile since they had to order it in a smaller size for me.
This beautiful arrangement was given to me as a get well present by my very talented aunt.
My dinner.  I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed Spaghettios.  As it turns out, they're perfect for a nice hot post oral surgery meal.  Also, a pretzel roll (which I managed to eat in very small bites) and a small pharmacy worth of medication.

My life since February

Rather than writing paragraphs about what I've been doing since February, I thought I'd share photos instead.  It seems to me that this is by far more stimulating.  Enjoy!

My antlers are finally done.

I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow morning due to an infection in one of them.

And so, my life for the last four months.  Once I am healed from my surgery (and alert and maybe not so puffy), I'll write some more.  I have a new swimsuit that I am excited to share as well as (possibly) some DIYs.
